SureStay by Best Western Chambers Petrified Forest

Driving from Amarillo on way to Phoenix and wanted to see the petrified national forest on the way and this was the most perfect stop, and it was really affordable during a weeknight. Super clean, spacious, but don’t eat at the Indian place next door, ugh.

I liked it here. Is it noisy? Yes. Is it a deal breaker? No. Rooms are very clean. Staff is wonderful. Breakfast is delicious and included. Location is great. Excellent room price. You can drown out the noise with a fan app or any noise you like listening to on YouTube. Works beautifully. Plus, traffic is lighter at night. Less cars and trucks

Front desk and hotel staff are great! they got me a pet room late when I had to stop unexpectedly due to U Haul telling me I could tow a trailer that my suv couldn’t actually tow. U haul was no help but the staff helped me clear the trailer out so it could be towed in under ten minutes. I can’t thank them enough for helping me get back on the road to make it to my new job in time!

This is the perfect halfway point on the 40 between the Palm Springs area and Amarillo, TX! Rooms are updated and very clean. Beds are comfortable and soothing, especially after a long days drive. Showers are plenty good. Complimentary breakfast includes bagels, sausages, and eggs. Extremely convenient on/off highway, and yes, as with ANY roadside motel, earplugs do help. We slept great. Would we stay here again? Yes! Yums: The restaurant next door sells sweet, melt-in-your-mouth milk cake (East Indian style) and other unique Asian treats to-go! FYSA: The tap water in the area is high in iron, which is also apparent in the red rocks and red dirt all around this part of Arizona. Because of this, you may taste the iron in your mouth when you take a shower, and the water in the toilet may look cloudy or beige. If you look this up on Google, it says it’s harmless unless you’re consuming large quantities over a very long period of time. Just a small quirk of the area but nothing to be alarmed about. Just felt like we needed to post this because apparently other reviewers weren’t aware of this.

Place was right off the interstate with a convenient gas station next door. Well priced and was very easy getting in and out. Breakfast was ready in the morning and nicely stocked up. Since its off the interstate you can still here cars but its not very loud at all. Would definitely come back.

Really nice little hotel in the middle of nowhere. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Nice clean rooms with very nice beds. Convenient with a gas station and restaurant right next door. Breakfast was also good. Walls in the rooms tend to be a bit thin so you can hear the highway noise but they provide complementary earplugs if you have problems with noise. Overall super nice place to stop for a night in the middle of my roadtrip.

First off, yes, it's next to the highway and you will hear it. There is no backside facing away from the highway so what you see is what you get. Yet, the service is wonderful. The free breakfast is warm and filling. And the rooms are renovated with tile floor with clean, firm beds and a nice bathroom. It's a nice hotel, just remember you ear plugs!

The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. The room was well-equipped with everything you could need, including a mini-fridge and microwave. Breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. It was the perfect stop to get a nap in on our roadtrip.
